The pineapple, a fruit venerated in various cultures as ananá, ananás, or matzatli, belongs to the distinguished family of bromeliads and originated in South America. It is characterized by its modest height plant equipped with hard and lanceolate leaves that can reach up to a meter in length, producing a single fruit annually. Distinguished by its aroma and sweetness, it has become a valued ingredient in global gastronomy.
Our pineapple cultivation is specifically located in the fertile region of Pital de San Carlos in the north of Costa Rica, an area recognized for its optimal climate and rich soils that are ideal for the development of superior quality fruits. The pineapples we produce here are distinguished by their remarkable sweetness and juicy texture, which is a testament to our commitment to sustainable cultivation practices and deep respect for the environment.
We produce the MD-2 variety of pineapple, recognized for its outstanding taste and aromatic qualities.

Our pineapples are harvested at their optimal ripeness, offering an exceptional flavor experience from the moment of arrival, noted for their sweetness and intense aroma, characteristics appreciated by the most demanding palates.
We select pineapples of sizes 5 to 10, ideal for clients who want a product capable of continuing its ripening after transportation, ensuring freshness and a prolonged shelf life.
Specially processed to offer efficiency in packaging and transportation, these pineapples are available in presentations of 7, 8, 9, or 10 pieces per box, meeting the specific needs of our clients in terms of handling and logistics.
Nutritional Information of Pineapple
In each 100g portion of pineapple, we find the following nutrients:

Calories: 49 kcal. Pineapple is considered a fruit with a moderate sugar content.
Carbohydrates: 11.3g, derived entirely from the fruit's natural sugar.
Fiber: 1.5g. Since a standard portion of pineapple is 200g, consuming it provides us with approximately 3g of fiber.
Proteins: 0.4g, a minimal amount as in most fruits.
Fats: 0.2g, including only traces of saturated fats and zero milligrams of cholesterol.
Water: 82.4g, contributing to its recognized diuretic capacity. -
Moreover, pineapple is rich in vitamins and minerals, including 146mg of potassium, 0.8mg of thiamine (vitamin B1), 14mcg of folic acid, 30mcg of iodine, and 18mg of vitamin C, strengthening the immune system and providing other health benefits.
